SET OF 2, YOUR CHOICE OF TEAS
THE DUO
Any two cans from the range, 30 bowls between them.
Details
Two teas, picked for how differently they drink. Waterline with Stillpoint sets crisp against deep umami, which is the clearest way to taste what ceremonial grade actually means. Either of them with Hojicha gives you a nearly caffeine free bowl for the evening alongside your daily one. Whichever pair you choose, they arrive in one box.
Who makes it
The matcha house
A family house in Shizuoka that has made nothing but tea since the 1800s, from the years when Japan was first opening to the outside world. The fourth generation runs it now. The house has taken first place at the Tokyo and Shizuoka tea competitions, including an award from Japan's Minister of Agriculture, and its head blender has won the national tea appraisal championship.
How the matcha is blended
Blending is the whole craft. Soil, shade, harvest date and how far the drying is taken all move the flavour, and no two lots repeat, so a chashi works through the year's harvests by taste and builds each blend against a target. Nothing about it is automated.
The hojicha house
A family house founded more than a hundred years ago, also in its fourth generation. They buy leaf at the growing regions themselves rather than through a trading floor, which is how a single origin stays a single origin.
Why the hojicha can be whisked
Roasted tea is usually brewed rather than whisked. This house built a line for milling tea into powder, and that is what lets a roast this deep be ground fine enough to drink the way you drink matcha.

What's inside
Two 30g cans of your choosing. 60g in total, about 30 bowls. Buying them together saves you €5.
How to enjoy
Both cans take the same recipe, 2g into 60ml of water at 80°C. The full method is below under How to drink.
Traceability
Ceremonial Grade, House Blend from Kagoshima, Shizuoka and Miyazaki, Japan (Waterline and Stillpoint). Premium Grade, Single Origin hojicha from Kagoshima, Japan. Milled and canned in September 2026.
Storage
Keep the lid on tight and the can somewhere cool and dark, away from anything with a strong smell. The powder comes in a sealed bag inside the can. Leave it in the bag, or tip it into the can and put the lid back on. Either way works. Once it is open, drink it within a few weeks. Matcha gives up its aroma to air faster than most teas.

How to drink
Before the inbox. Before the noise.
01Dose
2g
Two level scoops, about 2g.
Making a latte? Take 5g. Some like it stronger. You’ll know by the second cup.
02Water
80°C / 60ml
Boil the kettle, then let it stand a minute.
Tannins are what make matcha bite, and the hotter the water the faster they come out. At 80 degrees they hold back.
03Whisk
15sec
Back and forth in an M shape.
Your arm doesn’t move. Only the wrist. The speed of the tips decides how fine the foam gets.
04Sip
Now
Drink it while the foam is still standing.
Lift the whisk straight up out of the centre. It won’t wait for you.
Straight
Two level scoops of powder, about 2g, into 60ml of water at 80°C. Whisk for 15 seconds, until the foam closes over the surface. The recipe is the same for every can in the range.
HotDrink it from the bowl while the foam is still standing.
IcedWhisk it the same way, then pour it over a full glass of ice.
Latte
Take 5g of powder and whisk it with 150ml of water at 80°C first. Pour 150ml of milk or alt milk into the glass, then pour the matcha over it from the bowl, so it keeps its texture.
HotWarm the milk before it goes in and it will hold the foam.
IcedCold milk straight from the fridge, poured over ice.
New to matcha? A little agave syrup softens the edges.
